This is the network that connects Hipsons worldwide. Though our name has only six letters, and the final three are a common suffix (son), the surname Hipson is not very common. Virtually all Hipsons in North America are related, and can trace their origins to two brothers who came to America about mid-1750s.

Most Hipsons have  been traditionally New England and Canadian based. Though I was born near Boston MA, I lived my early years in Yarmouth Nova Scotia, the area where my Father was born. In fact, since the revolutionary war, Hipsons have moved back and forth between Canada and the United States on a regular basis.

Are you a Hipson? If so, we really want to hear from you.  We'll ask for your family history which we'll try to integrate into our family's tree.
